Fulham

Established in 1879, the Fulham Football Club is London's oldest football team. Ever since 1896, Fulham has played home matches at Craven Cottage, on the banks of the Thames. The name of the training ground lent the team one of its monikers, The Cottagers. Football tradition meets technology here at Online TicketExpress.com, your best source for Fulham tickets.

Although the squad has yet to win a major championship, Fulham has had 24 seasons in England's top division. In 2008-9 Fulham reached the FA Cup quarter finals but lost to Manchester United. However, they finished the season in seventh place, which meant that the club qualified for the UEFA Europa league. This was Fulham's second entry to a UEFA competition.

The club saw more success in 2009-10. Again, Fulham reached the quarter finals in the FA Cup and reached a 12th place finish in the Premier League. Fulham also pushed all the way to the Europa League final against Atletico Madrid. The game was a 1:1 draw and went into overtime, where Atletico prevailed. For the feat of taking the club to a European cup final, Fulham manager Roy Hodgson was voted LMA Manager of the year.

Many renowned UK footballers have come out of Fulham – Johnny Haynes, Bobby Robson, George Cohen, and Alan Mullery, to name a few. Today, Fulham boasts a strongly international first team, with players representing 16 nationalities, including two Americans, midfielder Clint Dempsey and forward Eddie Johnson.
